A rare asteroid pair recently swung by Earth at a distance of just 3.7 million miles. The binary asteroid, 2017 YE5, consists of two equal-size objects, each stretching roughly 3,000 feet in diameter, orbiting each other once every 20 to 24 hours. It's only the fourth such asteroid duo ever found.
